HK: LONGINES Hong Kong International Races tips

William Hill Sports

All times are UK.

(06.00) LONGINES Hong Kong Vase 1m 4f

THE FUGUE (evens with William Hill)

The Fugue looks the one to beat in the Vase for me and no doubt many others. Jockey William Buick has said she's travelled over well. She was recently beaten by Magician in the Breeders Cup Turf but thats no bad thing. Shes ready to go.

(06.40) LONGINES Hong Kong Sprint 6f

SOLE POWER (14/1 with William Hill)

A race since it was inaugurated in 1999 that Europe has never had much luck with but I think this could be set to change with Eddie Lynam's cracking sprinter Sole Power. Lynam also runs Sole Power's stablemate Slade Power. All eyes will be on the Japanese horse Lord Kanaloa but Sole Power can not be underestimated.

(07.50) LONGINES Hong Kong Mile 1m

MOONLIGHT CLOUD (6/4 with William Hill)

The tremendous mare Moonlight Cloud should win this shes in superb form winning the Prix de la Foret over 7f at Longchamp recently. This race is a mile and we know by her win (Olympic Glory 2nd) in the Prix Jacques le Marois that she can stay a mile. Trainer Freddy Head reports shes sound and well. Another I like the look of is Gold Fun.

(08.30) LONGINES Hong Kong Cup 1m 2f

LITTLE MIKE (12/1 with William Hill

E/W SIDE GLANCE (18/1 with William Hill)

I'm going with US horse Little Mike for the Cup. He failed in his bid for back-to-back wins in the Breeders' Cup Turf but has won the Arlington Million. Trainer Dale Romans says he's in great shape. The only negative is that he's never raced right handed but his trainer thinks it could be a plus going the other way. For e/w I'm with Andrew Balding's Side Glance.
